Sample Bequest Wording

Sample #1, Percentage bequest:

I give and bequeath to Oxfam America, Inc. (of 77 North Washington Street, Suite 500, Boston, MA 02114) for its general charitable purposes an amount equal to _____% of my gross estate, as finally determined for federal estate tax purposes.

Sample #2, Residual bequest:

All [or ___% of] the residue of my estate, including real and personal property, I give, devise and bequeath to Oxfam America, Inc. (of 77 North Washington Street, Suite 500, Boston, MA 02114) for its general charitable purposes.

Sample #3, Bequest for a specific amount:

I give and bequeath to Oxfam America, Inc. (of 77 North Washington Street, Suite 500, Boston, MA 02114) the sum of $_________ for its general charitable purposes.

Sample #4, Bequest of specific property:

Sample #5, Contingent bequest:

In the event that any of the above-named beneficiaries predeceases me, or that any of the above bequests shall otherwise not be effective, I give, devise and bequeath that share in question to Oxfam America, Inc.
