“Striving for justice.”

Marjorie RachlinLongtime Oxfam contributor Marjorie Rachlin left a legacy in more ways than one. In reflecting on her impact, she chose to leave funds to support Oxfam’s partners who are helping families in Yemen weather the adverse effects of years of war. According to niece Nancy Joy Allchin she was a passionate “advocate for truth and social justice.” Besides working in the labor union movement for 50 years, she supported women’s rights, the environment and the arts. Nephew Douglas Allchin adds, “Marjorie’s final gift for Yemen was very much about helping those who suffered misfortune not of their own making.”
